PETROL OR DIESEL, WHEN SHOULD YOU CHANGE THE OIL IN YOUR VEHICLE?

In general, the frequency of oil changes depends on the characteristics of your vehicle: the year the vehicle was put on the road, the number of kilometers driven since the last oil change and the total number of kilometers, the type of engine (diesel, petrol, etc.) and the type of driving (sporty, city driving, etc.).

In general, the older your car is, the more frequent the maintenance should be. Vehicles put on the road after 1999 must have their oil changed every 15,000 km, regardless of whether they have a petrol or diesel engine.

All vehicles built before 1994 for a petrol engine and 1995 for a diesel engine must have their oil changed every 7,500 km.  Vehicles put into circulation between 1994 and 1998 for a petrol engine and 1999 for a diesel engine must have their oil changed every 10,000 km.

Think about it! The oil change package is often included in your car's manufacturer's revision.
